He previously held the position of Managing Editor of The Anglo Celt, the Cavan based regional newspaper of record since 1846.   A seasoned newspaper man Johnny worked as both Advertising Manager and Editor at the Anglo Celt during his 27 year career.  As a member of the Regional Newspapers Association for some 15 years, including a term as President in 2002/03, his new role as Director of the Association is a natural progression following his retirement from the Anglo Celt.
